I wanted to say thank you for grabbing that rolling can for me because I had my hands full.
I wanted to say thank you for giving me your cart at Aldi when I didn’t have a quarter.
I wanted to say thank you for telling me to take my time while I was gathering my baby and all our things.
I wanted to say thank for waiting patiently while I called my little boy out from the middle of the grocery aisle so you could get by.
I wanted to say thank you for giving me your extra grocery bags so I didn’t have to buy any.
I wanted to say thank you for telling me my family is beautiful even though we were very loud and long checking out in front of you.
I wanted to say thank you for remarking on my kids’ pretty colored hair even though they were all arguing.
I wanted to say thank you, it meant a lot to me that you smiled politely and said “hi” to me while I was flustered and redirecting my kids.
I wanted to say thank you for holding the door for me so my children and I could get out of the wind and rain while you stayed in it.
I wanted to say thank you for telling me, “it happens all the time” when I was embarrassed about losing my child in the store.
I wanted to say thank you for caring for my child when they got hurt and I was so very worried.
I wanted to say thank you for telling me “Wow! Good for you!” when you realized I had 5 kids instead of asking me if I knew about birth control.
I wanted to say thank you for smiling at my pouting, angry child who was throwing a fit.
I wanted to say thank you to for calming me and reassuring me when my 2 year old wandered from me at Target. You alerted the staff and ran out check in the parking lot.
Thank you! You didn’t know me, but you were so very kind.
Every time I go out with my children, I am going out as a “Mom” and I’m made vulnerable by my childrens’ behavior. You could have judged me, you could have lectured me about overpopulation, you could have complained because I took to long to check out, finish in the family bathroom, cross the road, unload my cart, buckle my kids in the car while you waited for my parking spot, etc. You could have huffed and puffed when my oldest spilled milk on the floor, or knocked down the clothes, or pushed the button too soon and I had to swipe my card over again. But instead, you were so very kind.
Thank you for all those little things you did. I noticed and just wanted to say
